Achievements
- Shri M. Gowtham and Shri K.S. Anupam Krishna: Final year students who ranked among the top 30 and reached the finals in the Flipkart GRiD Robotics Challenge 5.0 – 2024. Competing against 10,000 teams, they developed an autonomous pick-and-place arm with reorientation capabilities, leveraging computer vision, deep learning, and robotics.
- Jebastin P.: A third-year student who secured second place in the “Workshop and Deep-A-Thon on Applications of CNN towards Health Care Precision” organised by the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCOPE) at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai from April 11-13, 2024.
- S. Aswin Kumar: A first-year student who won second place in the 10th South Zone Senior National Atya Patya Championship organised by the Karnataka Arya Patya Association on February 24-25, 2024.
- Mr. Anupam Krishna K.S: A third-year student who reached the finals in Hackcidents (IITM, RNTBC) – 2023, a national event aimed at reducing accidents in India. His team developed a retrofittable obstacle detection system using monocular depth estimation and a V2V communication network sponsored by Renault Nissan.
- Shri Arsath Khan, Shri M. Gowtham, and Shri K.S. Anupam Krishna: Final-year students who reached the finals in the Flipkart GRiD 4.0 – Robotics – 2023 challenge. They built an autonomous warehouse delivery drone utilising computer vision and AI.
- Shri Arsath Khan, Shri M. Gowtham, and Shri K.S. Anupam Krishna: Winners of the first place in Hackstart @ IITM – 2023, a data science competition. Their project analyzed startup data, developed an ML model to predict the funding status and amount of startups in Tamil Nadu, and won a prize of ₹25,000.
- S. Aswin Kumar: A first-year student who won second place in the 17th Boys & Girls Junior Atya Patya State Championship 2023-2024, organized by the Thoothukudi District Atya Patya Association from October 27-29, 2023.
- Mr. Rajendra: A first-year student who secured 90% and achieved Elite + Gold Certification in the Swayam – NPTEL course “The Joy of Computing using Python” from January to April 2023.
- Mr. Anupam Krishna K.S. & Team: Second-year students who secured first place in the Smart India Hackathon 2022 Hardware Edition for their project on median accident avoidance, sponsored by Volvo. Their project involved an obstacle detection and emergency car control system using stereo vision-based depth estimation, winning a prize of ₹50,000.
- Arsath Khan A: A second-year student who won second prize and received ₹2,000 in the Mr. Tamil Nadu (Men’s Physique) competition held in Walajapet on July 3, 2022.
- S.R. Sharun: Winner of the first prize in the 200m sprint and 4 x 100m relay at the Anna University Zonal Level Athletics, held at GRT College of Engineering on November 26, 2023.
- P. Nandakishore: Winner of the first prize in the 4 x 400m relay, decathlon, second place in the 800m sprint, and third place in the javelin throw at the Anna University Zonal Level Athletics, held at GRT College of Engineering on November 26, 2023.
- Bharath V: A second-year student who secured 85% and achieved Elite Silver Certification in the Swayam – NPTEL course “The Joy of Computing using Python” from January to April 2023.
- Yuvaraj P: A final-year student who secured Elite Silver Certification and was ranked among the top 5% in the Swayam – NPTEL course titled “Cloud Computing” from January to April 2023.
- K. S. Anupam Krishna of Pre-final Year Students and his team have bagged 1Lakh Rupees reward in Smart India Hackathon, 2022 held at Bangalore.
- K. S. Anupam Krishna of Pre-Final Year Students and his teamhave bagged National Runner-up Award in Robotics Stream among 186 Teams from all over India for the Project titled “CMS Based No Sensor Warehouse Delivery Bot using Image Processing” in SRISHTI 2022 held at Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam.
- Chhaya.R of Second Year Studentreceived the Best Student Ambassador Award by Knowledge Xchange Community.
- R. L. Yessross Swetha of Second Year Studentsecured 1st Place in Poster Making at Gojan School of Biz. & Tech.
- Department has recognized as “Active department of the year 2022-2023” @Prathyusha Engineering College
- Department has received “Best Symposium Award of the year 2022-2023″ among the other department Symposium conducted at Prathyusha Engineering College
- A group of second-year students made their institution proud by winning four first prizes and three second prizes in the IEEE Project Exhibition held on February 28th, 2022. Their outstanding technical skills and knowledge have been recognized at a national level. This achievement is a testament to their commitment to learning and pushing their technical boundaries.
- S. Madhusudhanan, Assoc Professor /AI& DS has received 100% result in Anna university Examination Nov-Dec 2022 for the course Machine Learning
- R Anitha, Assistant Professor of AI&DS, along with her 3rd and 2nd year students, achieved a 100% result in the Anna University examination for the courses “Business Analytics” and “Database Design & Management” held in November-December 2022.
- Sangeetha, Assistant Professor /Maths has received 100% result in Anna university Examination Nov-Dec 2022 for the course “Optimization Techniques”.
- Ajay and A. Pawan Kumar, Pre-final year students from Prathyusha Engineering College, won the third prize in the National Level “Hackerz 22” event for their mobile gaming. The event was held on May 16th, 2022, at the Chennai Institute of Technology.
- The “I Love Coding” competition was held by the Computer Science and Engineering department on February 14, 2023, and S. Kiran Kumar, a talented second-year student, took home the top honors.
- Jitin Andrew Roy, a pre-final year student at Prathyusha Engineering College, won the first prize for his pencil sketch at the National Level “Pravrithi 2k22” event held on May 16th, 2022.
- Arsathkhan’s achievements demonstrate his commitment to both his academics and his passion for bodybuilding. His dedication to his fitness routine and his willingness to put in the hard work and effort to succeed in his competitions is truly inspiring. By representing his college in these competitions, he has shown that he is not only a capable athlete but also an excellent representative of his institution.
- Ajay, a first-year student has participated in the National Level Kho-Kho competition @Pasport 2k22, organized by Prathyusha Engineering College, and secured second place representing his college team, Kho-Kho PEC.
- 25 students have completed online courses offered by International Universities through COURSERA and UDEMY.
