Dr. R. S. Kumar studied at premier institutions, earning a B.E. with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, an M.Tech in Production Technology from IIT Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Product Development from Anna University. He also completed a Management Development program at XLRI Jamshedpur.

Dr. Kumar has over 15 years of experience working in multinational companies across various locations in India, focusing on design, manufacturing, product development, and software services. He has worked with companies such as Ashok Leyland Ltd., Mannesmann Demag, and HCL Ltd. He has also had a brief stint abroad. For the past 23+ years, he has been in academia, serving as a principal for the last 14+ years. He brings a total of 38+ years of experience, integrating industry insights to mentor, groom and develop young talents.
