Prathyusha Engineering College is well-equipped with a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities that encourage active participation and physical development among students. For team sports, we have 2 volleyball courts covering a total area of 920 sq. mt, and 1 basketball court measuring 800 sq. mt. A sprawling football field spans 20,250 sq. mt, and a standard 400-meter track and field facility supports athletic training and events. The cricket field offers ample space for matches and practice sessions.

We also offer specialized courts for traditional Indian games including 2 ball badminton courts (920 sq. mt), 2 kabaddi courts (450 sq. mt), and 2 kho-kho courts (32 × 15 meters). Indoor sports are equally supported with 5 badminton courts for boys (1,200 sq. mt) and 2 courts for girls (480 sq. mt). Additional facilities include 1 throwball court (256 sq. mt), 1 tennikoit court (240 sq. mt), and indoor gaming options like 2 table tennis boards, 15 carrom boards, and 15 chess boards, encouraging mental agility and recreational engagement.

To promote fitness and wellness, our campus also features fully equipped gyms for both boys and girls, each occupying 85.54 sq. mt. These facilities collectively foster a strong sporting culture and support the all-round development of our students.

Records of Sports and Games

Over the years, Prathyusha Engineering College has shown consistent and commendable participation in sports and games activities. In the academic year 2012–2013, a total of 40 events (22 in sports and 18 in games) were conducted, with 55 students participating and winning 8 medals and 27 prizes. This enthusiasm continued in 2013–2014, where 65 students took part in the same number of events, securing 4 medals and 31 prizes. The year 2014–2015 saw increased involvement, with 68 students participating and winning 5 medals and 45 prizes. In 2015–2016, student participation rose significantly to 116, earning 5 medals and 56 prizes.

The trend continued into 2016–2017, where 167 students participated in 18 games events, winning 28 prizes. A major spike in participation occurred in 2017–2018, with 480 students engaging in 40 sports events, resulting in 3 prizes. In 2018–2019, 116 students participated in 22 sports events, winning 16 prizes. Despite fewer events in 2019–2020 (16 sports), 25 students participated and earned 1 prize.

These records highlight our students’ strong engagement and competitive spirit across various academic years, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development through sports and games.
