Animal House Facility

The Centre of Excellence – Animal House Facility is a dedicated research infrastructure established to support high-quality biomedical, pharmaceutical, and life science research while strictly adhering to ethical standards prescribed by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA), Government of India. The facility is duly registered under CPCSEA with Registration No. 1949/PO/Re/S/17/CPCSEA.

The animal house is designed and maintained according to CPCSEA guidelines, ensuring humane care, ethical handling, and welfare of laboratory animals. It provides a controlled environment with regulated temperature, humidity, ventilation, lighting, and sanitation to maintain optimal animal health and experimental reliability.

The facility supports in-vivo experimental studies, pharmacological screening, toxicological evaluations, and physiological research for postgraduate students, doctoral scholars, and faculty members. All experimental protocols are reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) prior to execution, ensuring compliance with ethical norms.

The Centre of Excellence also functions as a platform for training and capacity building, providing hands-on exposure to students and researchers in laboratory animal science, ethical experimentation, and regulatory compliance. By maintaining high standards of animal welfare and scientific integrity, the Animal House Facility significantly enhances the institution’s research capabilities and contributes to responsible and innovative scientific advancement.
