8th and 9th February 2018

Prayoga 18 one of the series of Science Exhibitions organized by Prathyusha Engineering College every year to nurture and seed the scientific essence among the students community, was organized for school students during 8th and 9th February 2018, categorized under the themes , “Green and Clean Environment” and “Robotics and Automation”.. The event received tremendous response from a gamut of  young science enthusiasts, studying 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Standards of various Government and private schools and was a blend of Science projects from school students all over Chennai which featured , a wide combination of innovative projects.

Sri. P. Raja Rao, Chairman welcomed the young scientists to the campus and conveyed his best wishes. Smt. P. Prathyusha, CEO, was happy to view the efforts of small kids with their innovations and encouraged them to continue doing them. Sri.M. Vasu, Advisor, appreciated the efforts of the parents and teachers who motivated and guided the students in the right path. Dr. Ramesh P.L.N., Principal extolled the efforts of all those who worked strenuousy, creating a tough competitive scenario to the others albeit learning a lot from their competitors.

The programme was inaugurated on 8th February, Dr. Rajendran, Scientist (Retd.), Central Leather Research Institute who appreciated the efforts of the college in building the experimental skills of the students and also stressed that this was the right platform for the school students to exhibit their projects. He also elaborated on the concepts of Science and Technology and major role to be taken up by the school students at this tender age towards the Prime Minister’s scheme, “ Make in India” and  urged the students to be more inquisitive.

Both the days had students from various schools visiting the campus to widen their knoweldge. The programme culminated with the valedictory function on the second day 9th February 2018 and the winners of both the themes were awarded with cash awards worth Rs.50,000/- by the Mr. M. Anandan, Deputy Director General, Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai, who first congratulated the winners and the participants for their sincere efforts at this right age towards the exhibition and also emphasized that continuous learning would make them flourish as they grow.. The exchange of ideas empowered the tiny tots, the future SCIENTISTS, and bid adieu with a promise to gather again with fostered learning experience.
